How and why did you join Angst+Pfister? 

I joined Angst+Pfister as a Product Application Engineer in 2016 for Antivibration Technology, hired by a headhunter. The various possible applications in a wide range of industries, such as agriculture and construction machinery, as well as the railway industry, made the job varied and creative. The demanding technical projects require a structured project management to our production as well as to the customer. I could not refuse the chance to work with an international team!

Since 2020, I am the Profit Center Leader of Antivibration Technology at Angst+Pfister Germany. New challenges such as business development strategies and team leadership are in addition to other responsibilities such as project management and customer development.

What do you enjoy about your work? 

The freedom to make decisions and the opportunity to expand a profit center, even beyond Germany's borders. Working with a strong international team makes the world a small place and offers many opportunities to get to know other cultures and people.

What do you like about Angst+Pfister? 

The chance to be a part of it, to be a family member. Also the opportunities to develop myself and grow within the company.

What do you recommend to joiners? 

Develop your network within the company every day, also to the other business units we have and you will experience the support of the colleagues all over the world.

What is the most fascinating aspect of your work? 

Developping customers and earning the trust to get a long-time engineering partner for them. Inspiring my team to live the same spirit I do.

I joined Angst+Pfister because it is a people-oriented global company with a vision of the future.

The most fascinating aspect is to work with a competent team with the excitement of the first day.

How and why did you join Angst+Pfister? 

Obviously, it was an unusual situation when I joined the company during of the COVID-19 lock down. But technology enabled me a structured and pleasant welcome and onboarding.   

I did join A+P because I liked the development of the Engineering and Production Capabilities and therefore, I was motivated to join the movement und support the customers as best as I can.

What do you enjoy about your work? 

I do enjoy finding solutions for customer requests in cooperation with the international Team of A+P, but I also like the Team spirit and the support from my Leader. The new way of working is also a concept of the A+P Group with combines the flexibility and efficiency of today’s work.   

What do you like about Angst+Pfister? 

I think Angst+Pfister did a great job by offering opportunities, equipment and integrating digital communication tools.   

Also, the A+P Academy is an excellent platform that introduces you to the A+P processes and gives you a good basic knowledge about all product-groups that we develop and provide, which was later deepened through meetings with experts.  

And there are always new challenges which are also rewarded if you do well!   

What do you recommend to joiners? 

Ask if you don´t know something. There is no bad question. Call some colleagues from other Business Units and chat with them and build yourself a good internal network.   

What is the most fascinating aspect of your work? 

When you get good feedback from your customer, that he is happy and that the solution from A+P fits perfectly.

How and why did you join Angst+Pfister? 

I joined the company in September 2019. I had applied for an open position that I had discovered on the company's website – a position with a high technical focus: Product Application Engineer for sealing technologies. 

Angst+Pfister has always been a synonym for high quality and high performance industrial components for me. I came from an area with significant experience in the same field and decided to take the opportunity!

What do you enjoy about your work? 

The seals are installed wherever liquids or gases need to be contained: from the washing machine to the car engine, from the oil pump to medical equipment in the pharmaceutical industry! 

The basic operating concepts behind the seals are almost the same (many aspects are the same), but the applications are so different! This forces you to become curious about the whole device in which the seals are installed.

What do you like about Angst+Pfister? 

The broad solution portfolio: Every application can be faced with more than one sealing solution.

What do you recommend to joiners? 

1) Curiosity about all aspects (working conditions, assembly requirements, etc.) associated with each topic/application. 
2) Touching the products and solutions by hand! This helps to increase confidence in the products.

What is the most fascinating aspect of your work? 

Being in contact with well-known companies, managing projects with them and hopefully contributing to the success of their products with our products: Seals are as simple as they are fundamental!

How and why did you join Angst+Pfister? 

Four years ago, I was looking for a new job opportunity where I could apply my experience in a fostering environment. Angst+Pfister has proven how serious they are about People Development and as a privately owned company, the management is guided by a long-term success strategy.

What do you enjoy about your work? 

We generate learning opportunities for all kinds of people within the company. It is great to see how people take these trainings and continuously develop within their jobs or even step into new functions or challenges.

What do you like about Angst+Pfister? 

Angst+Pfister is like a big family where people put their positive energy together to achieve our common goals. Thanks to short decision taking paths we can turn new ideas into a result within very short time and with little bureaucracy.

Angst+Pfister is the perfect employer for people who are self-driven and willing to learn every day. To question what they have done recently and how they can participate in the future success of the company.

What is the most fascinating aspect of your work? 

Starting with an idea or input and developing a product which helps people to grow and to succeed within their professional environment.

How and why did you join Angst+Pfister? 

I worked in a supply chain for an Angst+Pfister customer for 7 years and the company's reputation for professional and collaborative engineering and supply chain practices has been consistently confirmed by my team colleagues. I firmly believe in taking a collaborative approach to every project. So when I saw an opening at Angst+Pfister to join the procurement team, I knew I had to apply ... I jumped at the chance and here I am.

What do you enjoy about your work? 

The variability of my job is what gets me up in the morning. We in the quotation and sourcing team provide services to our sales and finally to our customers from different industries. They have different and unique and challenging expectations, and my team and I can bring our experience and skills to bear in inquiries, negotiations, audits, project management and strategic sourcing with a variety of suppliers.

What do you like about Angst+Pfister? 

In Angst+Pfister we have this family environment where everybody is there for each other. We all support each other and work together to offer creative feedback and then make our ideas a reality. There is a real spirit of cooperation and common goals, where everything revolves around helping the customer, which I have not found in other companies.

What do you recommend to joiners? 

Investigate the Angst+Pfister environment before you immerse yourself completely, find your "buddy" and give your colleagues and managers your feedback, your opinion.

What is the most fascinating aspect of your work? 

My work offers a wide variety of opportunities and our strong and cohesive team makes it possible to tackle each challenge in a passionate way. In many companies the technical bids would be analyzed by the engineering teams and the approval of a specific bid would lie in their hands and a commercial bid would not carry much details of the product or the solution in question, instead it deals mostly with the commercial aspects of the offer. In GQS however we must understand both aspects and find a right technical and commercial solution together with the supplier. So, understanding of the two very important areas of a successful proposal along with some negotiations always make my day.
